By accessing or using ProHelp, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our platform.

2. Description of Service

ProHelp is an online marketplace that connects customers seeking home services with independent service professionals ("Pros"). We facilitate the connection between parties but are not a party to any agreement between customers and Pros.

ProHelp does not employ any Pros. All Pros on our platform are independent contractors or business owners operating their own businesses.

3. User Accounts

To use certain features of ProHelp, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Promptly update your information if it changes
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

4. Platform Role

ProHelp acts solely as an intermediary platform. We:

• Facilitate connections between customers and Pros
• Verify Pro qualifications and credentials
• Provide a messaging system for communication

We do not: Guarantee the quality of work, supervise work performed, or handle payments between parties.

5. Customer Responsibilities

As a customer, you agree to:

• Provide accurate descriptions of services needed
• Communicate respectfully with Pros
• Pay Pros directly for services rendered
• Not circumvent the platform for future bookings with Pros you met through ProHelp

6. Pro Responsibilities

As a Pro, you agree to:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date profile information
• Hold valid qualifications and licenses for services offered
• Respond to customer inquiries in a timely manner
• Deliver services professionally and as quoted
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
• Maintain appropriate insurance coverage

7. Payment Terms

For Customers

ProHelp is free for customers. Payment for services is arranged directly between you and your chosen Pro.

For Pros

Pros pay a monthly subscription fee to access the platform. Current pricing and trial offers are detailed on our pricing page. Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time.

8. Prohibited Conduct

Users must not:

• Provide false or misleading information
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
• Circumvent the platform to avoid fees
• Use the platform for illegal activities
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the platform
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations

9. Intellectual Property

All content on ProHelp, including logos, text, graphics, and software, is the property of ProHelp or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.

10. Limitation of Liability

ProHelp is not responsible for:

• The quality, safety, or legality of services provided by Pros
• Disputes between customers and Pros
• Any damages arising from use of the platform
• Actions or omissions of any user

11. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these terms or use of ProHelp shall be resolved through negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be submitted to arbitration in accordance with South African law.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may also close your account at any time.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any legal proceedings shall be conducted in the courts of South Africa.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or through the platform. Continued use of ProHelp after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
